Fireworks

What is it with fireworks? Yes, they are pretty. I don't know if it's because I live in a redneck town, but could we PLEASE do the fireworks thing ONLY on the holiday that is in question? These people who have nothing else better to do with their money or lives who go out and get fireworks to set off...NOT JUST ON THE HOLIDAY....but on the weekend before and the weekend after...... GRAB A LIFE! Not to mention that out here in the boonies there is a reason every other weekend to set off these fireworks. IE: Strawberryfest, Peachfest, Poultryfest....YES...YOU HEARD ME....Poultryfest. How gay is that? You can just see them now, in their overalls, sucking on a strand of hay, catapulting chickens by their feet over a picket fence. Hoping to win the neighbours prized newborn calf.
